Brian Raiche, CFRE

President & Senior Principal

Brian Raiche began his work in fundraising and development as an undergraduate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute assisting the development office with prospect research. Before establishing Cornerstone Fundraising, Brian was Senior Vice President of Trinity Fund Raising Consultants. His expertise is in designing and directing multi-million-dollar capital campaigns, major gifts programs, endowment campaigns, planning studies, and increased revenue appeals. He has been instrumental in establishing Cornerstone Fundraising as a leading religious development firm in the greater Boston and New England area. Brian is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE): a profession designation that certifies experienced fundraising professionals aspiring to the highest standards of ethics, competence and service to the philanthropic sector.

Roger Lovejoy

Senior Principal

Roger Lovejoy’s first career was in the retirement services industry, helping people better understand the need to plan for retirement. He is adept at managing complex projects to budget and deadline constraints. Roger has recently served at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul as Director of Development where he implemented and converted their donor database over to a new platform before launching the Cathedral’s capital campaign. In that role, he enjoyed speaking with donors and developing relationships with church members across the diocese to help further the works of the Cathedral. Roger also built relationships within the local community and businesses, overseeing rental activity and developing new revenue streams for the Cathedral.

In parish life, Roger has served on many committees including the annual diocesan appeal. He enjoys cycling and traveling as often as he can.

Mary Schaefer

Senior Principal

Mary Schaefer is a strategist, fundraiser and marketer who has served in multiple leadership and development roles in academia, business, church and non-profit organizations. She guides nonprofits leaders in crafting their case and tailoring their approaches to raise money, promote their causes and enlist their supporters. She spent 12 years at MIT, most recently as Founding Executive Director of the MIT Leadership Center where she engaged faculty, leaders and donors in building, funding and promoting the center worldwide. Mary joined Cornerstone Fundraising in 2010 and has served as campaign consultant for St. Cecilia Parish (Boston), Montrose School (Medfield), and CatholicTV (Boston).
